93SO282ARWM2LR - Tail Lamp Assembly. LED with load resistors (1pc)
LED lamps provide trouble free operation for much longer than filament (globe) lighting.
Our 93SO282ARWM2LR is fully ADR approved for use on Australian roads and combines stop/tail/indicator functions and is designed for 12VDC vehicles only. It is also pre-wired with load resistors to help avoid globe-out warning issues. The resistors need to be mounted to a metal surface (such as the back of the lamp's mounting bracket) as they produce heat as a by-product of their operation.
It comes prewired with a 6pin DT plug and ready for for use with any of our 21720 / 21722 / 21724 / 21726 / 21728 / 21730 / 21732 / 21734 / 21736 OEM harness adpaters for a plug and play solution.
If you are not competant to troubleshoot issues with LED lamps when used on vehicles originally fitted with filament (globe) lamps, we suggest you look at our 86710P globe lamp as a simple and trouble-free solution.
This lamp size is 284(W) x 100(H) x 27(D) and fits many locations such as tray backs.
Issues with LED lamps on vehicles designed or fitted with filament (globe) lamps:
Fitting LED lamps in place of filament (globe) lamps often causes issues with the vehicle's body system such as tripping globe-out warning lights, reporting system errors or flasher lamps going into globe-out mode and flashing fast. One solution requires cutting into the OEM wiring and fitting load resistors which emulate the original filament lamps but this is at the expense of the vehicle's globe-out warning features and potentially illegal as it is a requirement under law that indicator lamps must flash at a different rate to warn the driver a globe or lamp has failed. LED flasher units can be another solution but this is becoming obsolete and problematic in later vehicles. Neither of these solutions are cost effective or simple to implement in some vehicles.
Our 86710P is a simple solution as it used globes and therefore works the same as the OEM globe lamp in terms of load and avoiding globe-out issues. It is a plug and play solution and is safe, quick to implement, and requires no modifications to the vehicle's wiring.
